About the on-site visit
What if my project doesn't actually need a site visit?
If we can answer your questions on a phone call instead, we’ll tell you that and you won’t be charged. Many projects start with a Free Initial Consultation phone call rather than a paid visit. The On-Site Consultation is for projects where physical evaluation, framing inspection, or in-person code review is the right next step.
What happens after I submit my request?
We review your request within one business day and reply with two or three proposed visit times. You pick a time, pay the $295 flat fee via the link we send, and your visit is on the calendar. If the timing doesn’t work or your project isn’t a fit, we’ll tell you and there’s no charge.
How long is the visit and what happens during it?
One hour at your property. Our Professional Engineer (P.E.) evaluates existing conditions (framing, foundation, site constraints), discusses your project goals and any relevant code or permit considerations, and outlines a defined plan for next steps. You leave the visit with clarity on whether your project is feasible, what the path looks like, and what deliverables you’d need from us if you proceed.
